 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON
TAJIK (PERSIAN) LANGUAGE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES
Organizers of the Conference are the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan, Radio and TV Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Conference aims to attract academic communitys attention to challenges of Tajik language customization and application in computer and information technologies.
The Conference will cover the following issues:
1. Tajik (Persian) language and Internet:
- Tajik language Internet resources;
- Tajik language websites;
- Internet technologies for learning, etc.
2. Computer lexicography (Compiling computer dictionaries):
- electronic dictionaries;
- computer terminography;
- computer analysis of terminology, etc.
3. Corpus and computer linguistics:
- systems of textology;
- systems of text analysis (interpretation);
- Tajik language corpuse;
- corpus compiling on the bases of collected works of poets and writers,
- separate knowledges and other problems of corpus compiling;
- electronic translation from other languages into Tajik and vice versa
4. Electronic systems of teaching:
- interactive teaching by CD and DVD discs;
- on-line teaching;
- electronic textbooks;
- multimedia lessons, etc.
5. The challenges of the designing and creating the Tajik orthography automatic checker:
- Electronic Tajik language spelling dictionary;
- Tajik names dictionary;
- Tajik language word-formation dictionary, etc.
6. Electronic exchange systems of information in Tajik language:
- legal bases of electronic exchange;
- creation of electronic government, etc;
- transliteration of Persian texts into Tajik and vice versa
7. Electronic edition in Tajik language:
- edition and utilization of electronic text-books;
- electronic library, etc.
8. Mobile technologies (WAP) to exchange electronic text:
- WAP sites in Tajik language;
- language database in mobile communications, etc.
9. Rudaki legacy and Internet:
- Rudaki legacy on the Web;
- Internet research about Rudaki;
- study and learning of Rudaki verses through Internet;
- Rudaki Web Award;
10. Localization on software applications:
- Operating systems localization;
- Office applications localization;
- Graphics editors localization;
- Programing interfaces localization
Conference will take place on 28-29 of May, 2008, in the hall of AS RT.
